I was thinking online as few game shops in the UK sell PS2 games any more but I looked on Ebay and Amazon and neither had any :(

no Super Mario is a Nintendo product. You will only find mario games for the Wii and Ds and Nintendo consoles
Super Mario is proprietary to Nintendo. He can only be found on Nintendo-made consoles like the Gamecube and Wii. Plus Nintendo handhelds like the Gameboy Advance and DS. Tough luck, but that's how it goes.
You could buy a used Gamecube on ebay pretty cheap. Or spring for a Wii. Super Mario Galaxy is a lot of fun, and SMG2 comes out this weekend :)Are there any Super Mario games for Playstation 2?

there is no mario for the ps. mario is owned by nintendo so only the Wii
